Program Overview:

Please join us for a interactive discussion presented by Weber Gallagher's Diversity & Inclusion leaders Kenneth Sharperson and Carolyn Mirabile. They will explore the functions of unconscious bias and navigate the impact our decision-making processes.

We will examine how implicit bias affects our ability to work and authentically connect with colleagues, clients, and the community. 

The discussion will include:

  • What is Implicit Bias
  • How Implicit Bias affects our ability to work and do business with others
  • What we can do to improve our relationships and culture


About Our Speakers:



Carolyn Mirabile is a partner at Weber Gallagher, and she serves as the Chair of both the firm’s Family Law Group and the Women's Initiative Committee. She concentrates her practice on all aspects of divorce, support, custody, property distribution, and drafting of marital settlement agreements and prenuptial agreements. An active member of the Montgomery Bar Association, she is a former President of the organization. She also served as Co-Chair of the Association's Diversity Committee. Carolyn frequently speaks before professional groups and attorneys about important issues, and she has been recognized for her exemplary family law work by being included in “Super Lawyers” and “Best Lawyers” numerous times. Carolyn has also received a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Rating. Additionally, she is an active member and former Chair of Weber Gallagher’s Diversity Committee.


Kenneth Sharperson is a partner at Weber Gallagher, Chair of the Diversity Committee, and Editor of the firm’s “Diversity Matters” newsletter. He serves as national counsel for clients in sophisticated insurance coverage litigation and commercial litigation matters before federal and state trial and appellate courts. Kenneth has handled the defense of claims related to directors and officers insurance matters, mass tort and environmental issues, media, technology and cyber liability, residual value insurance, financial institution bonds, errors and omissions, employment practices liability insurance, property insurance, and professional liability matters. Kenneth often presents and writes for professional organizations on diversity and inclusion topics. In 2019, he was recognized by the New Jersey Law Journal as one of the top “Diverse Attorneys of the Year.”
