Delaware County HR Association is proud to support PathWays PA.

PathWays PA was founded in 1978 as the Women’s Association for Women’s Alternatives. It served as one of Pennsylvania’s first residential programs to keep low-income, vulnerable women together with their children and has grown to become one of the Greater Philadelphia Region’s foremost providers of residential and community-based services for women, children and families. Each year over 6,000 women, children and families benefit from our full complement of social services; job training and employment assistance; as well as outreach and residential programs as they move along the path to self-sufficiency.

Despite the rainy, flash flooding, dreary night in Delaware County we had 25 members turn out for networking at the DCHRA Thirsty Thursday event at Generations in Media. 6-8PM - Sponsored by Mark Izzo, of Converge Solutions...Thanks, Mark. I met some great HR pro's, did a little networking, made some new business connections, and met some new members. Low and behold one of our recent members said. "This is a really great group. In fact, at the last meeting I was at the table for lunch, at Maris Grove and turned to the person next to me to introduce myself and my mouth dropped wide open! Who was it you are thinking? but a very close friend of mine in High School, so close that we even went to the senior prom together with our dates. So the handshake, turned into a hug, turned into a reunion and a great connection for each of us." Both are now in the HR profession and connected once again. How about that connection? Who needs facebook when we have the Delaware County (SHRM) New HR Chapter 56 members strong and growing, right in your own backyard.. So come out and join us at the next event - April 12th lunch at Maris Grove 11:30-1, see our website under events and register to attend. Who knows who you will run into?

It's a great night in Delaware County, signing off for now...
